The Talent Trust is a new paradigm for tech recruiting: a consortium of the region’s most innovative tech companies working together to find, attract, and retain high-quality software and engineering talent in Pittsburgh.

It's a way of building talent pipelines built on collaboration — not competition — that provides startups and employers with expertly-matched candidates, and candidates with an immersive experience that shows the very best Pittsburgh has to offer as a career destination.


WHO WE TARGET

SOFTWARE ENGINEERS & ARCHITECTS

We're looking for software engineers and architects with 5+ years experience, or engineers who are managers or in leadership roles. Most have experience in the full life-cycle of a product and are currently employed.

DEVELOPERS

Candidates are back-end, front-end, or full-stack developers familiar with cloud, mobile, or web-based tech.

LANGUAGE FLUENCY

Candidates are sought for fluency in programming languages based on the needs of the companies in the Trust. These include Java, C++, JavaScript, J2EE, Objective C, Scala, Python, PHP or Perl, to name a few.


HOW IT WORKS

We work closely with the companies in the Trust to assess their hiring needs and then source candidates from outside the Pittsburgh region to fill them.

Then, we speak with candidates one-on-one to identify their interests and vet their tech stacks.

If we think they're a match, we offer them the opportunity to interview with up to three marquee employers — all in one visit to the City.


HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Companies who wish to participate in the Talent Trust must apply. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Acceptance into the Trust is based on three factors:

  • Similarity of open talent roles to other participating members

  • Diversification of industry to benefit candidate attraction, and

  • Urgency of need to fill openings
