Alloy 26: Halfway to International Women's Day

  • Alloy 26 100 S Commons Pittsburgh. PA 15212 United States (map)

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the firs arch WD gathering supported by over a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Prior to this th Socialist Party of America, United Kingdom's Suffragists and Suffragettes, and further groups campaigned for women equality. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization specific. Make IWD your day! - everyday!

On September 7, 2018, join the women of Alloy 26 as we meet for a Halfway to International Women’s Day breakfast discussion. The purpose is to reconnect and re-band to examine the progress we’ve made in our endeavors to push for gender parity and champion all women around us.

This event is free and open to the public!
