Entrepreneurs often pitch their startup ideas to corporate executives and investors. This reverse-pitch format ‘turns the tables’ by having a group of selected corporate executives share their companies' innovation needs with a curated audience of entrepreneurs who are invited based on experience and focus areas. The entrepreneurs are given the opportunity to bring new solutions forward to address important corporate challenges and needs.
How it works:
Corporations are selected based on technology interests, demonstrated commitment to innovation, and experience working with startups & entrepreneurs. On event day, 6-8 participating corporations present overviews of their companies and their key innovation needs in a fast-paced pitch format. Several presenting companies will also announce innovation challenges, each with pilot funding earmarked for the best solutions identified during a six-week follow-on process.
What’s in it for you:
Learn about the innovation needs of leading corporations that can become partners, customers and investors in your entrepreneurial ventures
Make connections and build relationships with corporate innovation executives for collaboration or future career opportunities
Pursue corporate-sponsored challenges that offer funded pilots for those who bring new solutions
Who should attend:
Current (and future) entrepreneurs, engineers, designers and business development professionals interested in building a startup aimed at corporate challenges and/or working directly with innovation-minded corporations
Founders with existing startups that may have potential solutions for the needs and challenges presented by leading corporations in our region
Participation is free, but registration is required.
