We are excited to welcome 2018 Chemistry Nobel-Laureate, Dr. Frances Arnold back to Pittsburgh as the Keynote Speaker for Pittsburgh's Life Sciences Week.
Dr. Arnold is the Linus Pauling Professor of Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering and Biochemistry. She won the 2018 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for "the directed evolution of enzymes." She is a Pittsburgh-native and a graduate of Pittsburgh Allderdice High School; and Life Sciences Pittsburgh is excited to welcome her back to her hometown and celebrate her recent honor.
Dr. James Martin, the new Dean of the University of Pittsburgh's Swanson School of Engineering will be making some opening remarks.
