Uptown, historically known as Pittsburgh's “Soho," links Pittsburgh's largest business districts, Oakland and Downtown. Anchored by Duquesne University, Uptown is experiencing a revitalization of several buildings that had gone dormant, paving the way for several new developments.
This neighborhood will be the home to Pittsburgh's newest hospital - the UPMC Vision and Rehabilitation Hospital. This development will have a combined 715,000+ sq. ft. spanning three buildings that will lead research initiatives for vision restoration techniques, including age-related macular degeneration.
